The wilder orchids

Although "Wild orchids of southern Africa" is probably too large to bring with you in the field, this is nevertheless a kind of field guide. It covers 433 species found in South Africa, Namibia, Swaziland and Lesotho. The introductory chapters deal with the structure of African orchids, scientific names and synonyms, distribution, ecology and conservation. The main part of the book includes keys, species presentations and photos.
