A certain Nicholas Confessore offers some criticism of the trans cult in the liberal New York Times following a recent defeat for this "movement" in the US Supreme Court. 

Probably just damage control, but it *is* interesting that trans is the first "Woke" item the Dems criticize. Suggesting the senior hierarchs never really believed in it. Maybe one day they´ll explain why they wanted the rest of us to buy the crap...

The insufferable moonbat Professor Dave attacks the crazy wingnut Candace Owens (who I think is a friend of the master provocateur Kanye West). The internet race-to-the-bottom at its "best". 

Apparently, Candace´s latest revolution in science is the claim that space is "fake and gay" (just like the dinosaurs), although I´m not sure what that even means. Is she a flat earther? Personally, I see space floating above me every night and there are plenty of dinosaurs flying around me by day, so there´s that, but maybe the situation looks different from Ye´s bunker c/o The Event? But sure, the earth *does* look flat. At least in Kansas, LOL.

As for Davie, well, if you don´t want the wingnuts to talk about trans all the damn time, maybe you moonbats should stop promoting it all the damn time!

Personally, I would like to know why Prevost took the papal name Leo XIV. Leo XIII (the Pope most people-in-the-know think about when they hear the name "Leo") is still seen as one of the greatest popes in modern Catholic history (reigned 1878-1903). So choosing *that* name strikes me as...daring. 

Also, what does it tell us about Prevost´s political orientation? Leo XIII could be seen as a cautious reformer. But he could also be seen as radical, since his predecessors on the papal throne were arch-conservative. Leo XIII, by contrast, is associated with "Rerum novarum", the first social encyclical. It inspired the Catholic trade union movement. I read "Rerum novarum" years ago and didn´t find it particularly radical, but in its 1891 Catholic context, maybe it was. So perhaps the name signals that Prevost wants to be explicitly political and even somewhat "radical"?

I suppose we´re about to find out, aren´t we?

This BS just continues...and continues...and continues. There are two possible explanations, one "rational" and the other not so. The rational explanation is that we´re dealing with an instrument of social control. Compare "1984". Indeed, it´s an excellent instrument not just to control conservatives, but also to uphold internal discipline within the liberal camp. 

But the Woke double down on their gender jihad even when it´s counter-productive. See: the Democratic Party in the United States after Trump´s election victory (which *the Democrats themselves* suspect happened in part due to their intransigent stance on trans issues). And that leaves the irrational explanation: Woke is their *religion*, their social cult. 

Of course, the one doesn´t contradict the other. In "1984", the cynical Party had a fanatical youth organization...

Doubling down

 

I think it´s obvious that Woke hurt the Democrats in the recent presidential elections. Heck, the Dems themselves say so. Specifically trans-people, hyper-specifically trans-women in women´s sports. 

Yet, it´s precisely this issue that the Dems are now doubling down on?!

There are three possible explanations. One: the Democrats are Satanists. Or crazy. Or both. Two: the Democrat campaign organizations are dominated by a certain kind of Woke activists, who simply won´t back down. Three: the Democrats are funded by somebody who is friendly (or "friendly") to trans-people. Perhaps Big Pharma and Big Shrink? Somebody is making money off the drugs and medical procedures. 

My wild guess is number three. Which explains why the activists (number two) can´t be fired. Number one is *of course* completely impossible. Well, I think!

This was...awkward. The first trans-woman ever nominated for an Academy award in the category Best Actress, Karla Sofia Gascón, turns out to be an anti-Black/anti-Asian racist and Islamophobe. 

The acting actress is still a nominee, but Netflix has removed him from the promotion campaign for the film in question, "Emilia Perez". The problem? He is the, ahem, lead actor of the movie...
