“Bigfoot Campfire Stories” is an entertaining
collection of ghost stories featuring meetings with Bigfoot or Sasquatch, the
hairy (and smelly) manimal of the American backwoods. Meet the guy who took
care of Bigfoot's pet, a white Newfoundland named Happy. Meet ol' Snowball, a
squatch scaring the living daylights out of heart-broken geologists in Montana.
Meet the ghost of a Bigfoot, firmly poised on a bridge over Green River. Or the
countless of bigfeet who stalk campers, save kids lost in the woods, or just
love pancakes.
Are any of these stories true? That's somewhat unclear, since Rusty Wilson gives contradictory responses to this surely rather important question, and ends the book by claiming to be a Bigfoot abductee who lived 10 years in the forest?! Apparently, the squatches let him go since he hated those damn pancakes, LOL. Well, at the very least, we can be sure that Rusty's tall tales (or perhaps the tall tales of those he met around the camp fire) are freely based on a true legend…
Or, perhaps, on some really funny flapjack fillings!
