The Mecca-Medina conflict

Styx is experiencing some turbulence right now, but the latest rumor takes the prize. Apparently, some people somewhere claim that he is a Muslim or is becoming one. Eh? The reason seems to be that he wants to end Trump´s war with Iran. So presumably Styx is now a Twelver Shia Muslim, then. As opposed to a Christian Protestant Nationalist? Or what?

He seems to be an occultic libertarian. As he has been for the past two decades or so.

And btw, I´m aware of the "Mecca-Medina conflict" and have read the Tibetan Book of the Dead. There!

For the record

Some drama is building in the United States. Again! I´m old enough to remember the rumor back in 2016 that Barron Trump is autistic. However, I didn´t know Melania Trump had actually sued somebody for spreading it.

It will be interesting to see the reactions of Trump supporters if and when this supposed fact becomes a thing. Since MAGA probably see autism as evidence of demon possession, I assume they will simply deny that Barron is neuro-divergent (the pro-Trump MAGA-ites, obviously). However, MAHA might show him sympathy. Assuming MAHA is still a thing?

Pakman is (of course) right that the Democrats will fuck up if they start making fun of Barron´s alleged autism. But why does he have to point that out at all? Hmmm...

True conspiracy?

There is an interesting conspiracy theory that *Israel* is behind the recent storming of Ceuta, presumably in collusion with Morocco. The reason? Spain is currently anti-Israeli. Morocco, on the other hand, has signed the Abraham Accords, which are also a key part of Trump´s foreign policy. And some pro-Israeli / pro-Trump outfit in the US actually called on the POTUS to recognize Morocco´s territorial claims on Ceuta and Melilla.

Personally, I think this was really triggered by Morocco´s perennial conflict with Algeria (Spain is "pro-Algerian"). Still, it will be interesting to see if the anti-Zionist portions of the mainstream media will acknowledge this conspiracy theory. After all, it collides with their present narrative, which is that the Moroccan incursion into the Spanish exclave is a genuine refugee crisis...

An even less popular opinion

I actually think it was funny that Fauci took the fifth when some Congressman asked him about the color of his tie...

An unpopular opinion

Anthony Fauci´s diary is a nothingburger. And he took the fifth before Congress because his enemies want to revoke Joe Biden´s presidential pardon. You know, autopen and all that. Oh, and it was Trump who had the accursed vaccines developed in the first place. But who knows, maybe that was just another autopen?

Game changer or nothingburger?

Trump has decided that former federal employees and contractors are allowed to share information on UAPs (UFOs) without violating non-disclosure agreements. The catch is that they can´t speak directly to the public, but only to the Pentagon-related AARO and the UAP Task Force, which will decide whether or not the information will be unclassified.

Critical ufologists believe that this won´t change anything. Why would a whistle-blower talk to the Pentagon in the first place? Many of the relevant people are bound by more than just non-disclosure agreements and so may not legally talk anyway. Besides, much of the evidence probably no longer exists. For instance, pilots would destroy videos showing potential UFOs for fear of otherwise losing their jobs.

Personally, I will follow the peregrinations (and perhaps contretemps) of Avi Loeb with great interest, but *of course* they´re not going to disclose actual evidence for aliens (if they even have it). Still, it might be worth some popcorn to see what they´ll do instead...

OK Boomer

Liket lever, uppenbarligen.

The irony is that Trump might even be right about this. And yet, it´s still a surreal move. For various reasons...

I want to see this...

Something tells me this won´t be included in the next tranche of UFO files released by the Were-Trump administration! Nor in Nolan´s "Odyssey"...

Viceroy

US Secretary of State Marco Rubio is the effective ruler of Venezuela, according to a recent article in the New York Times (a summary from another site below).

This raises all kinds of questions (and, I suppose, eyebrows). For instance, if the "Bolivarian Revolution" has widespread popular support, shouldn´t the people of Venezuela protest or even rebel against Delcy Rodriguez? And why does the "Bolivarian" elite accept the new order anyway?

It seems the revolution has fallen on really hard times since the halcyon days of Hugo Chavez. All it took to make Venezuela a US protectorate was to remove Maduro and his wife! Perhaps Trump assumed that the same strategy would work with Iran, but it seems the Islamic revolution is more viable than the Bolivarian one...

I´m not saying it´s the aliens

Here is a scenario: the United States military is testing new kinds of aircraft on a semi-regular basis. The tests are so secret that most of the military doesn´t know about them either (compartmentalization). This leads to strange and sometimes tragic misunderstandings. For instance, that the portion of the military which isn´t "in the know" calls meetings with scientists, wondering what the heck the strange craft could possibly be. Or that an air force pilots gets killed when chasing one of the objects. At some point, the intelligence community realizes that they can use belief in extraterrestrial visitors as a smoke screen to cover up various experimental flights (and more). Of course, the psy-op has to be directed *against the military itself*, not just the public. Also, everytime a classified drone is sent into restricted airspace (say, around a nuclear facility), the drill can be covered up as a "UFO"...

Is this a realistic scenario? Actually, yes. There is even some evidence that something like this happened. I blogged about this before. For instance here, about the so-called Bennewitz case.

I´m not saying it was the government, but it was the government

That being said, the conspiracy theory also has certain weaknesses. For instance, that many of the "UFOs" seemingly had capabilities far exceeding any secret aircrafts of the period in question. Indeed, they seem to defy the laws of physics! The witnesses are often of very high quality, including military personnel and pilots. Sometimes, the objects can be seen visually as well as on radar simultaneously. How likely is it that *all* of these observations are simply misidentifications? Or is *every* witness a CIA plant? Ever since 1947?

After the Cold War, it became clear that the Soviet Union also had a UFO problem very similar in character to the American one. Military personnel would see objects around their ships or bases which simply can´t have been American. There is even a rather bizarre case (known as "Russell´s UFO") in which a US senator *visiting the Soviet Union* saw an object doing seemingly impossibly feats! If earthly, it would have been Soviet, but the Evil Empire doesn´t seem to have the necessary gadgets...

So while the disinfo is real, some kind of "next level disinfo" would have to be postulated to explain away all the UFO observations since Kenneth Arnold. Impossible? No, since our entire civilization seems to be a Potemkin village. Maybe all civilizations are. So the elites certainly have a long experience lying, just as their subjects know how to convince themselves that the lies are true. But, of course, this works both ways.

Maybe what the Potemkin facade is meant to shield us from the terrible realization that the flying saucers are...real.

Bad news

Credit: Paul Gear

Senator Lindsey Graham has suddenly passed away. WTF. In Swedish media, Graham is described as a "Trump loyalist", but the truth is that he wasn´t *really* a Trump aficionado but a more regular Republican who supported the erratic POTUS for tactical reasons.

Graham´s role was to constantly push Trump in a more pro-Ukrainian direction, hence acting as a counterweight to the "isolationist" Vance and similar types. Graham was also extremely pro-Israeli, but on *that* score, the Donald didn´t need much pushing! It´s probably bad news that the senator passed away exactly when Trump is (at least seemingly) making a pro-Ukrainian gyration, for instance by letting them produce Patriot missiles. What if Trump changes his mind...?

It would be very good indeed if somebody on the other side could suddenly drop dead, too. Witkoff, for instance. Or what about Putin himself? One thing is certain: this shit (evidently) isn´t over yet.

Green fireballs

This is an almost one-hour long presentation by our "house ufologist" Richard Dolan on the latest (fourth) tranche of released UFO files c/o the Trump admin. Despite the frankly boring format, it does contain some very interesting information. Although of course no "disclosure" sensu stricto.

For instance, the air force was aware of at least two UFO observations *before* that of Kenneth Arnold. One of these involved multiple trained observers of weather balloons, who also saw a very large metallic object shaped like a disc. The military also noted that many UFOs were observed around Los Alamos, various nuclear facilities and air force bases. Trained balloon observers in New Mexico saw strange objects making impossible maneuvers.

In 1949, high-ranking members of the military, the government and even the FBI held a classified conference at Los Alamos to discuss the "green fireballs" which had appeared around the research facility. None other than Edward Teller was there, trying to explain away the UFOs as meteorites, but eventually admitting that they couldn´t be so - provided the reports were accurate. Teller still thought that the physics of the fireballs made no sense!

The main suspect was (surprise) the Soviet Union. The military believed that the objects such be intercepted and identified. The matter is treated as a legitimate security / intelligence problem. Many of the witnesses were high quality: air force officers, air line pilots, astronomers, police officers. But in public, Project Grudge said that all UFOs have conventional explanations and that many witnesses are kooks or hoaxers!

Can all "skeptics" please go home now?

Frankly, none of this is super-surprising, but I suppose it´s good to finally get official confirmation. On a funnier note, the secret files also mention the avrocar, an actual attempt by the US military to build...ahem...a flying saucer. This in a CIA report dismissive of UFO observations?!

More disturbing is a 2015 case, during which an unknown flying object was spotted over the Pantex nucelar power plant, the most sensitive military installation in the United States (where the nuclear missiles are assembled). It could have been a drone, but if so, who was daring enough to send it there? Let´s hope it was just a drill!

On YouTube, everyone concentrates on a number of fairly bizarre videos, but Dolan is unimpressed by these. One probably shows a deformed balloon (something even the observer himself suspected), while the "star-shaped UFO" is just an artefact of the tracking equipment.

We´re either subject to some kind of next level disinfo, or objects far exceeding human technological capacity have been observed in "our" airspace (and in "theirs" too) since at least the end of World War II.

Hmmm...

Pinsamt för det finländska företaget, men varför gjorde shia-muslimerna detta? Är det inte lika pinsamt för dem? Eller bryr de sig inte? Karbala i Irak är förresten shia-islams heligaste stad...

So Belgium defeated the US in that soccer game. The "Trump card" didn´t work. That was that, I suppose. On to the next occasion for scandal...
