Why didn´t God spare the guy who was actually killed?

AI´s dramatic take on a drone fleet above New Jersey! |
Geezus, I´ve been looking at YouTube clips (often from local news broadcasts) and it seems the United States is *lit* at the moment. EVERYONE IS SEEING THE DRONES. The flap has now extended to at least half a dozen states, the westernmost being Indiana. A reporter saw 50 of them over New Jersey in just one night and even filmed two of them?! A talking head on TV claims that this stuff has been ongoing since 2017, yet none have ever been captured or shot down...
Et cetera.
No idea what´s going on, obviously. I suppose it could be a ChiCom or Russian intelligence operation, but more likely explanations include mass hysteria (I mean, people in NJ see the Jersey Devil on a semi-regular basis), mad engineering dorks testing little trinkets in their spare time, USAF finally getting their drone acts together, or MK-Ultra psy-opping everyone in the Lower 48.
Probably not the fairies, then. And most certainly not aliens, either.
Chill, guyz. They are yours!
A recent poll in Pennsylvania suggests that Kamala Harris may have lost the battleground state due to her decision *not* to make Josh Shapiro her running mate.
Maybe.
But would it have helped the Democrats overall to have the pro-Israeli Jew Shapiro as their VP nominee? They might have lost Michigan even faster than they actually did. Even more "progressive leftists" might have stayed away from the elections altogether. Conversely, *really* hardcore supporters of Israel, Jew and Gentile alike, would still have found Trump more to their liking.
So I´m not entirely convinced.
Choosing Walz over Shapiro hurt Harris in Pennsylvania
Michael Tracey´s first post-election article on Trump´s victory. It´s interesting to note that Tracey called the elections in 2016, 2020 and 2024. So what need is there for pollsters and pundits if a "roving reporter" in a rented car can make better predictions?
This is a transcript of a weird statement by an actual Democrat staffer in Pennsylvania, who presumably identifies as Queer, made in the aftermath of Trump´s election victory.
His/her point seems to be that the Harris campaign didn´t hire enough Queers of color and that the White Queers (and autists?) who were hired are racists. So are all other White people. The whole thing comes across as a Woke therapy session, rather than a serious post-election analysis.
A propos recent claims *by Democrats* that the emphasis on transgenderism may have lost Harris the White House...
>>>One common theme a lot of the people of color on this campaign experienced was that whenever they actually had concerns or elevated microaggressions or weren't feeling heard, and they tried to elevate these they were pushed to the side, brushed to the side, not listened to, not taken seriously, and we see what the results of that have been. Now this is no surprise. This is what the Democratic Party has always been. However, it is shocking and highly, highly irresponsible to be putting people in positions of power that act this way on a campaign for a black woman.
>>>It makes no sense to me, and as a direct result of my experience on this campaign, I feel the need to remind white people that even if you are queer or neurodivergent and you identify with a minority group, that does not exclude you from acts of racism, from doing microaggressions, from centering yourself in conversations where you don't need to be centered.
>>>If you want to be a true ally to people of color, if you want to be a true ally to the positions you say that you believe in support, you need to make room in space for the people who are directly impacted by those decisions, and not center yourself just because you think you identify with one or the other minority identities.
>>>Far too often in this campaign, we felt like we were settling our diversity quota by taking queer white people and putting them in positions of power, not understanding that at the core of their being, if they haven't unlearned their toxic whiteness and white fragility, that they would see all of their decisions through the lens of a person that is more aligned and more fitting with a Trump presidency than that of a presidency of Kamala Harris. >>>One thing that we know is that this country runs on racism, and so it should be no shock that the same thing our country runs on, so do our parties, both left and right. So I'm not surprised that we lost, and a lot of people of color weren't surprised that we lost, but there were a lot of tears from white faces wondering, how could this happen? >>>Crying, not because their rights are going to be stripped. Crying, not because they are going to lose access to health care or lose access to getting their transition medication or being demonized for their mere existence, not because they're going to be continually priced out of the things that they deserve as American people, or have their parents deported back to a different country, but because they were at the center of something and they didn't get what they wanted...
OK, I´m going to wrap up this election night with a third contribution by Michael Tracey, this time about the end of the election campaign and undecided voters in Pennsylvania. Also quite interesting!
...but they can´t make election machines work in a battleground state in 2024. Makes you wonder about a lot of things. Like, did they ever go the Moon in the first place?!
My understanding is that this is "Trump country", so probably not election fraud, since the local GOP officials presumably want the votes to be counted. Maybe this is the first and only time Cambria County has been in the international news!
Or at least in Denmark and Sweden. Below is the original US (or Cambrian County) news story.
Would you buy a used McDonald´s from this guy? I admit that this made me laugh, for good or for worse.
And yes, it really is Donald Trump, who now claims that he worked at McDonald´s "fifteen minutes longer than Kamala"...
Clip from YouTube.
Trump suddenly has a lot of new friends. When Chris Christie turns again, we´ll know for sure The Donald will win.
Democrat swing state senators cozy up to Trump
Me, trying to sit out the POTUS elections |
The election campaign in the US is heating up. Links below are to the pro-Trump Breitbart News site. Some cynical comments...
Even if the allegations against Walz about Chinese ties are true, I´m pretty sure most American politicians did pretty much the same thing until, say, 10 years ago. So the only difference would be that Walz was stupid enough to continue in the same vein throughout the Trump years.
As for pro-Palestinian activists not voting for Kamala Harris...LOL. What are the chances? So probably a nothingburger. But sure, the slogan "Kamala, you can´t hide, we won´t vote for genocide" is almost bizarrely brilliant. I mean, who´s behind it? The Revolutionary Communist Party? The Revolutionary Workers League? Dude!
The polling results from Pennsylvania (an important swing state) are strange. Note that voters under 40 prefer Trump with a 18-point margin! Less surprising, perhaps, is that atheists overwhelmingly (84%) support Harris. If Robert F Kennedy Jr is included in the polls, Trump and Harris are tied at 47% each of the total Pennsylvanian vote. So perhaps RFK Jr can still play a role in the November elections? Or at least create havoc!
And it´s only August. Still awaiting the October surprise with much fear and trembling...

Sheikh Hassina, no relation to US elections! |
Why did Kamala Harris pick Walz rather than Shapiro to be her running mate?
Because Jews and "asshole" Pennsylvanians will vote Democrat even if she picks Walz. However, Muslims, Arabs and Antifas will *not* vote Democrat if she picks Shapiro. So Walz it is.
Simple as.
It would be bizarre (and yet fitting somehow) if the suspected attacker in the Trump assassination attempt turns out to be a radicalized right-wing Incel who had a mental breakdown and wanted to be killed. Fitting? Well, look around you.
Our entire society is insane, the opposition is frequently just as bad as the establishment, there is a mental health crisis both "left" and "right", so *of course* Trump and his supporters were attacked by somebody who "should" have been one of them...
Which doesn´t exclude a conspiracy, of course. Or even rank incompetence. Which may be even worse in the long run. Image being governed by a bunch of fools who can´t even hatch a conspiracy properly!
Will the center hold, I wonder?
The Amazing Atheist (who seems to be a radical leftist) rants and raves about the Donald Trump assassination attempt. Some interesting news clips included. Main point: wasn´t Trump "literally Hitler" just three days ago? So what changed? Make of this content what you wish.
Pro-Gaza activists (dare I say pro-Hamas) block a Pride march in Philadelphia. Not clear why, but note their provocative slogan "No Pride in Genocide", and the defaced LGBTQ+ flag!
An interesting "scholarly" YouTube video about the Old Order Amish. Probably triggered by the sudden upsurge in interest for the Amish after a notorious Tucker Carlson interview. Note the comments about "Amish" romance novels!
Not sure what to make of this: psychotic breaks, turkey vultures seen under very strange conditions, or misplaced Irish fairies?
Thunderbirds are divine creatures from American Indian mythology, but it seems even White people see them...and frequently despair. While the Thunderbird is usually thought of as a gigantic raptor, there are also weird reports of impossibly large crow-like birds. And not just from Pennsylvania!
From a blog devoted to find "the missing Thunderbird photo".
