Class War 2024

Here we go again! From an article published in August by the Revolutionary Communists of America (RCA). Note how their name sounds like a pun on the Democratic Socialists of America (DSA). Probably not a co-incidence.

Some crazy quotes [exclamation marks mine]:

>>>Based on their experience of life under capitalism, ever-wider layers of American workers are drawing radical conclusions. Alongside the many millions who already identify as communists [!!], there are millions of others who reject both ruling-class parties and want to see the entire system overthrown [!!].

>>>The aim of the Class War 2024 campaign is to connect with that mood and equip the communist generation with the political tools it needs to begin sinking roots in every workplace, on every campus, and in every working-class neighbourhood.

>>>As a result, poll after poll reveals a widespread rejection of the ruling institutions of US capitalism, including its twin political parties.

>>>Last year, Gallup reported that a record 63% of US adults believe “a third major party is needed” because they don’t feel represented by either the Democrats or Republicans.

>>>In May, a poll conducted by Siena College Research Institute found that 69% of registered voters believe the US political and economic system needs “major changes” or “needs to be torn down entirely.”

>>>A Trump victory would unleash a mass wave of struggle and open big opportunities for the communists [!!]. He cannot deliver a better life for the working class, and those who vote for him will eventually be very disappointed.

>>>We must raise our banner and spread our programme by every means at our disposal. Class-conscious workers are everywhere; the only limits on our ability to find and discuss with them are the limits of our own boldness and creativity [!!].

>>>Canvassing, door-knocking, selling The Communist, postering, stickering, social media, public events, street rallies, picnics, breakroom meetings, campus tabling, leafleting, yard signs, flyering doorsteps, doormats, and windshield wipers are all valid tactics. [!!!]

>>>Despite the renewed pressure to back the party of the class enemy, a colossal undercurrent of class anger lies just beneath the surface, and the objective conditions for such a campaign have never [!!!] been more favourable.

>>>History is calling on the communist generation to step forward and show what genuine class politics looks like.

Translation: We are a Communist organization with the correct revolutionary program, have no idea where the millions of communists actually are, but will surely find them through stickers and flyers under doormats. How on earth is this not a religious cult? Or at the very least a quasi-Healyite LARP?

Being awkward

These guys talk too much, and this isn´t *the* most exciting content around, but if you can spare 45 minutes or so - and are obsessed with all things JW-related - I suppose it could be of some passing interest.

Michael Jackson was a former Jehovah´s Witness, and the first clip deals with his first Christmas at Neverland c/o Liz Taylor. The second clip comments a line in song by Taylor Swift, attacking the old fashioned dressing style of the JW´s.

Enjoy!

Make Amerika White again?

So one guy on X had a "based" opinion. And Taylor Swift is probably silent. Dude. Still, this article *is* interesting from another angle: maybe that one guy has a point?

Isn´t it actually a covert form of White supremacy to cancel all mentions of American Indians from mainstream American culture?

There are fringe White supremacists who "support" Woke, hoping it will make Whites more race-conscious. What if this idiosyncratic position turns out to be true?

Make America (and the world) NORMAL again

What if the true black swan of 2024 isn´t all the shit that will undoubtedly happen, but a creeping *normalization* of both politics, culture and "discourse" in general?

It may be very "impressonistic" to think in these terms, but I couldn´t help myself when faced with some of the recent news/hype.

For instance, Trump´s half-hidden call to increase financial support to Ukraine. Or NYT´s questioning of the trans agenda. Or the pushback against bizarre conspiracy theories about Taylor Swift. Perhaps Nikki Haley has captured a real mood with her new slogan "Make America NORMAL again". And what about the increasing support for nuclear power? Even the mainstreaming of opposition to mass immigration could be interpreted as a normalization of sorts...

I wonder what´s going on (if I´m right at all). Perhaps this is the fall out of the Israel-Hamas war, which effectively split the liberal coalition. The more moderate elements support Israel. The un-ironically Woke are useful idiots for Hamas. This, in turn, makes the moderates - and the common people - question the rest of Wokeness.

I see this normalization as a good thing, since abnormality probably isn´t a very good response to the crises ahead...

Taylor Swift Democrats

Some cultural commentary on Taylor Swift. Yes, that girl again! The linked articles actually make some interesting points, all things considered...

Right-wing gadfly Richard Hanania believes that the Republicans come across as bigger freaks than the Democrats, since ordinary voters aren´t likely to notice most of the "Woke" stuff, while they *are* likely to react strongly against the anti-abortion measures imposed by the GOP. Various conspiracy theories surrounding the pop star Taylor Swift are just another example of this freakishness.

Not sure who Scott Greer is, but he is more critical of Swift and the "Swifties", seeing them as naïve Whites who just want to be left alone, while society around them is rapidly changing, presumably in a non-White direction. Swift´s image may be implicitly White and even "conservative" (as in normal or mainstream), but it´s all just a mirage of an Amerika long gone...

Taylor Swift = Agent of Gaddafi?

Not a swift

Congress of Cultural Freedom, cough, cough...

The liberal media certainly tried to turn Taylor Swift into an "asset" for years, until they finally succeeded around 2018 or thereabouts.

And yes, intelligence agencies meddling in "culture" is a thing, so of course Swift could at some point become an "asset" for some faction of the establishment. That´s simply how shit works.

We´re all assets. Some of us are just less expendable than others...

Media matters

Some reflections on the current media landscape…

The last 10 years or so, the media landscape has become more homogenous. The traditional distinction between the serious and high brow morning papers on the one hand, and the sensation-hungry tabloids on the other, has largely disappeared. In Sweden, tabloids have somewhat ironically become more “serious” (relatively speaking), while morning papers have been dumbed down. You don´t have to become like The Sun to become dumbed down. You simply go from high brow to midwit, or from midwit to halfwit. In Sweden: Dagens Nyheter (at least last time I looked – like five years ago).

Another change is the gradual incorporation of social media flame wars into the standard news cycles. Unsurprising in the case of tabloids, perhaps, but at some point, serious morning papers started treated the social media bubble as great news. When your morning paper starts bemoaning “the silence of Taylor Swift” or claim that “the Blue Wave” has something to do with Swifties registering to vote, then you know something has changed, and it probably isn´t electoral politics…

I´m old enough to remember a time when at least morning papers were supposed to have gravitas (or some kind of high brow implicit irony), not the bizarre hysteria they espouse today. Nor did they constantly sperge about “the current thing”, rather they could write about 15 different crises at the same time. Today, by contrast, hysteria is near-perennial, but always about one single thing, which is then completely replaced by another one (almost inexplicably). Witness the swift transition from the COVID pandemic to Ukraine, and now from Ukraine to Gaza. The only exception to the rule is Donald Trump, that fixture of the media landscape, who has become some kind of permanent crisis in his own right. Nor are the crisis ever explained or analyzed properly, instead all we get is 100% propaganda. It´s like experiencing “Wag the Dog” in real life. Soon, we won´t even know whether there really is a war going on in Ukraine at all, or if it´s just some deep fake simulacrum…

It´s easy to blame “the establishment” or at least “the media establishment” for all this, but here is a heretical thought: what if the real culprit are *the readers* or should I say consumers? Maybe IQ levels are simply lower today than 20 years ago. I mean, a case could be made! But the ultimate irony is that the “opposition” is arguably even worse than the establishment. For who is the “alternative” in this bleak, dumbed down media landscape? Yes, you guessed it: even more dumbed down “content creators”, edgelords and shitlords producing dank memes, funny perhaps but of course leading nowhere. But sure, they are at least “relevant” in the sense that they are just as low IQ as the establishment (and its activists) they are fighting. This is a dramatic example of what the Situationists warned us about: that even the rebels become part of the Spectacle. Indeed, there can´t be any spectacle without a suitable villain. Or perhaps clown…

My prediction is that at least the social media bubble will burst in the near future, for a wide variety of reasons, the most immediate being that most people won´t have access to social media anyway, either due to rising costs or government censorship. Then other channels must be sought to get the message out, at which point all the Alt Right edgelords will mysteriously disappear back to their mother´s basements, since they won´t be able to make ends meat (yes, all the shitlords are monetized by the same media establishment they are pretending to fight). The positive thing, I suppose, is that real reality will assert itself again. The negative? Probably that people´s IQ will be even lower 10 or 20 years into the future, so the post-Internet media landscape might be even worse than the current one!

Make of these reflections what you wish.

The silence of Taylor Swift

"Mr Speaker, I demand an answer to my question: Why are Taylor Swift and Greta Thunberg silent on the recent conflict between the Ukrainian Orthodox Church and the Orthodox Church of Ukraine? This is a very sensitive topic which needs to be addressed swiftly. And perhaps thunbergly!"

Taylor Swift update

One: Swedish globalist-liberal daily DN claims that Taylor Swift was behind the blue wave in the US midterm elections. Taylor...who? And what blue wave???

Two: Taylor Swift is silent on the recent sensational theory that ´Oumuamua is an alien space probe.

And now, a weather forecast...

No, we don't enjoy the silence

Taylor Swift's silence on the turanoeremic and mongoloeremic distribution of certain lepidopterous insects is deafening, and given the present chaotic state of noctuid cladistics, not a little chilling.
