Some new Trump stuff. Apparently, the POTUS wants to "permanently pause" (sic) all Third World immigration and deport millions of immigrants. He also threatens to arrest Joe Biden, at least by implication. Presumably, the immunity granted by "Sleepy Joe" to his son Hunter and to Anthony Fauci (yes, him) will be revoked.
Let´s see how much of *this* Trump will actually follow through on.
In other news, Witkoff is preparing to meet his banker in Moscow, while Hegseth (?) is threatening to kill narco-terrorists on land, not just on water. A coded way of saying that a war against Maduro really is under way? You know, that guy in Venezuela who is brokered by Witkoff´s Lord & Master...
2026 will be even more colorful than 2025, it seems!
Did Trump and Hegseth really call home hundreds of generals (et cetera) to tell them that they can´t be fat and their troops can´t look like Nordic pagans? Whatever happened to "see you in Valhalla"? Oh, and battleships should be brought back. The kind that became obsolete already during World War II?! Viking dragonships would probably be better...
Sure, Trump also said that the military should attack criminals in US cities, including New York. But then, he has previously threatened to attack Denmark, Canada and Panama...and yet, here we still are. And the Don increasingly looks and sounds *almost* as senile as Joe Biden...
Should any of the above worry me? And if so, *why* should it worry me?

This is apparently extremely unusual.
Is Pete Hegseth going to take out the entire U.S. military brass? Or is he just going to upbraid them for not purging trannies fast enough from their troop battalions? Or is the Department of War actually planning an actual war? Many suspect Venezuela.
Note the weird fact that Trump didn´t know about the meeting when asked, while Vance claims it´s nothing unusual...

I´m not a big fanboy of "Spiked" (and I know exactly what those guys were up to circa 1990), but they do have *some* kind of point here. Indeed, they are almost a bit nice...
The EU´s hue and cry over Crimea and portions of the Donbass remaining in Russian hands (which is the implication of Hegseth´s recent remarks about the pre-2014 borders of Ukraine) is completely hypocritical, since the EU (Germany in particular) continued to buy Russian oil and gas all the way up to 2022. In other words: the EU tacitly recognized that at least Crimea is, indeed, Russian.
So the Germans pretend to have a "Green transition" while buying fossil fuels from Russia and expecting the US to defend them in case of war. With Russia? Fantastic. Most other EU nations aren´t much better. A long holiday from history indeed.
And a pretty rude awakening, too!

I actually agree with a recent statement by Pete Hegseth that Ukraine can´t become a NATO member and can´t go back to the pre-2014 borders. The maximum Ukraine can get would be a return to the 2022 status quo bellum ante. The problem, of course, is that Russia would see this as a defeat. They started the war precisely to upend this status quo. So they are unlikely to settle for anything less than keeping what they are currently holding - which is far more than they had before 2022.
And what is Hegseth proposing to do about *that*? He says in a recent interview that the EU should take most of the responsibility for lethal and nonlethal aid to Ukraine. This is a recipe for defeat since the EU simply doesn´t have enough military equipment (or even stamina) to defeat Russia. Hegseth´s proposal to hurt Russia by crashing the oil market prices is more interesting, but how realistic is it? Wouldn´t the Democrats have tried it already if it´s an obviously winning strategy? I don´t think they were *that* afraid of the Green lobby!
It´s also peculiar that Hegseth says he wants to prioritize the US confrontation with China, since Russia (for the nth time) *is a Chinese ally* and perhaps even a kind of Chinese proxy. How is winning the war in Ukraine *not* part of "confronting China"?
One reason why the war started is that Russia gave the Western powers a bizarre ultimatum, essentially demanding the dissolution or emasculation of NATO. Letting the European NATO members fight Russia alone sounds a bit too close for comfort to that scenario...
