This is apparently Henry Jolicoeur´s most viewed YouTube video, with about 250,000 views so far. I´m not surprised. Henry was allowed to film inside the most sacred cremation ground in Varanasi, India. He reads from both the Zohar and the Mahabharata while the flames consume a number of dead bodies.

The clip *is* very graphic. But hardly the worst on YouTube, where you can find videos of the Aghori sect *literally eating ashes from cremations*...

Kamala Harris is...Indian!

 

I knew that Canadian cult-buster Henri Jolicoeur liked Kamala Harris (he mentioned her in an attack video on Tulsi Gabbard), but I didn´t know that Harris went to high school in Jolicoueur´s home town. But then, maybe his "home town" is Greater Montreal! The video above is a tribute to Kamala Harris´ Indian mother. Linked for information purposes.

I´ve heard about Ramalinga years ago, but then forgot his name. But here he comes, right in my YouTube feed. 

Ramalinga was a "Jesus-like" Tamil Hindu saint who mysteriously disappeared from a locked room in 1874, never to be seen again. A somewhat original form of "resurrection", to be sure! 

The above clip shows a small temple dedicated to Ramalinga, Shiva and Kali in the Tamil city of Tiruvannamalai.

A brief comment on the recent conflict between Canada and India. From cult-buster and great lover of India Henri Jolicoeur. The Canadian government recently accused India´s secret service of murdering a Sikh dissident resident in Canada. Apparently, India isn´t amused and is now refusing to issue visas to Canadians! Canadian counter-cultist activist Henri Jolicoeur is in India at the moment, and here he visits the abandoned ashram of Maharishi Mahesh Yogi, the founder of TM and for a while the guru of the Beatles. Note that the Beatles are depicted on the ashram walls together with Maharishi! 

When Henri was a Hare Krishna devotee, he actually met the Beatles, including George Harrison and John Lennon. The video upload ends with a John Lennon song. 

I´m not much for travel, but some of the vistas Jolicoeur has visited do seem quite interesting!

Swami Nithyananda is an international fugitive and cult leader. Once very popular in India, his star began to dim when accusations surfaced of illicit sexual relationships, bisexuality, rape, child abduction and even murder. His fanaticized followers once beat up the man in the clip above, Canadian national Henri Jolicoeur, when he asked impertinent questions to their "avatar". The incident was even reported in the Indian press.

And speaking of incidents... 

The article linked to below tells the bizarre story (which broke earlier this year) about how the city of Newark in New Jersey was scammed by Nithyananda´s dwindling band of faithful. They have also tried to infiltrate UN conferences, always under the cover of the fictitious nation of Kailasa (evidently named after Shiva´s holy mountain Kailash).

Deconstructing Tulsi Gabbard

 

Tulsi Gabbard is a controversial American politician and political commentator whose main claim to fame is probably her 2019-2020 primary election campaign for the Democratic presidential nomination. Gabbard destroyed Kamala Harris´ presidential bid before the voting even started, but as we all know, Harris staged a comeback later. Still, it *is* intriguing that Harris´ attempt to become POTUS in her own right was upset by a “fringe” candidate like Gabbard!

Supposedly a progressive leftist, Gabbard veered rather strongly towards the populist right, eventually leaving the Democratic Party altogether in 2022 for unknown pastures. Judging by the presentations linked above, Gabbard may never have been a leftist at all, and perhaps deliberately prettified her past.

It´s been known for a long time that Gabbard had contacts with Hindu nationalists (she even met Modi). Her Hindu beliefs are derived from a breakaway group from the Hare Krishna movement, known as Science of Identity. Both her parents (not just her mother) are members of Science of Identity, and so is Gabbard herself. The group is based on Hawaii, where the Gabbards live. The founder-leader of this group, Chris Butler, is a really raving homophobe. So is Mark Gabbard, Tulsi´s father, who claims to be a Catholic but is actually a member of Butler´s organization. While it´s not super-secret that Gabbard is somehow connected to Butler´s people, she has tried to downplay both the connection and essentially denied her guru´s homophobia.

The narrator of the videos linked above is a Canadian counter-cultist with somewhat eclectic spiritual beliefs, Henri Jolicoeur. As a very young man, Jolicoeur was a member of the Hare Krishna movement (the ISKCON) and worked closely with none other than Shrila Prabhupada himself. Indeed, he was tasked with spying on Chris Butler´s ISKCON temple in Hawaii! It seems Butler was creating his very own, shall we say, cult following already back then. Yes, Jolicoeur regards Science of Identity as a dangerous cult, prompting Butler´s lawyers to sue him for libel in both Hawaii and Quebec as a result (the present status of the lawsuit is unclear to me). 

The videos are interesting, not just for what they may reveal about Gabbard or Butler, but also due to the narrator´s reminiscences. Judging by other uploads on his channel, Jolicouer knows all of the ISKCON “fallen gurus” who took over the Hare Krishna after Prabhupada´s death…and he despises all of them (or almost all). There is some other interesting info of a counter-cultist nature on the channel too, so stay tuned for more links!

As for Tulsi Gabbard, she did have an intriguing ability to politically attract a rather motley crew of people. Among people who had positive things to say about her were Alt Right cyber-demon and citizen´s reporter Mike Cernovich, pro-populist leftist Jimmy Dore and perennial kind-of-liberal gadfly Michael Tracey (who even endorsed her for president). I was interested in her politics, too, but things change and so on.

Presented her for all it may be worth. 

 

Meanwhile, somewhere in Varanasi...

 

A somewhat "narrow" YouTube clip, featuring Henri Jolicoeur, a Canadian hypnotherapist who is a follower of Ramana Maharshi and Paramahansa Yogananda. 

He visits a hard to find temple in Varanasi to worship Yogananda´s two gurus, one of them the earthly Lahiri Mahasaya, the other the decidedly non-earthly Babaji (here seen as a form of Shiva). 

Not sure who might find this interesting, but there you go...

Henri Jolicoeur is a Canadian hypnotherapist and practitioner of Yogananda´s version of kriya yoga. As a very young man, he was initiated into the Hare Krishna movement (ISKCON), and although he isn´t entirely negative towards its late founder-leader Prabhupada as a person, he regards the movement itself as a gigantic scam filled with psychopaths, criminals and even murderers. 

In this clip, he tells the weird story of how a Hare Krishna sannyasin (celibate "monk") was allowed by Prabhupada himself to break his woves and marry a rich heiress, apparently hoping that she would bring millions of dollars to the ISKCON organization!

In reality, the woman was an ex-prostitute and scam artist, and it seems *she* fleeced the Hare Krishnas of millions, using her husband as very willing go-between...  

The eleven naked emperors

 

Henri Jolicoeur is a former member of the ISKCON (the Hare Krishna movement) who currently heads his own neo-Hindu ministry in Canada (?).  

Here is a portion (about 20 minutes long) of his scathing criticism of the eleven gurus who took over the ISKCON after Prabhupada´s death, many of whom Jolicoeur knew personally. Somwhat surprisingly, he seems to regard Prabhupada himself as a honest but *extremely* misguided and naïve man, who recruited all kinds of riff raff to his movement. Note the bizarre rumour about the wedding between a sannyasin and a prostitute!  

Jolicouer worked with Prabhupada personally, and it seems the old man occasionally did listen to his advice, which may explain why he doesn´t reject him en toto.

I haven´t read the book Jolicoeur is commenting on.

Whatever you do, don´t eat sugar if diabetic. A YouTube clip which claims that ISKCON founder Prabhupada essentially lost it shortly before his death, to the point of wishing for World War III to happen! 

He even said that if ISKCON takes power in America, it would use nuclear bombs to force the rest of the world to embrace Krishna?!
