Really existing

If the present COVID-related crisis continues, the statement below will become true.

Really existing scientists have done more to discredit science, than really existing socialists ever did to discredit socialism. When the Soviet bloc collapsed in 1989-91, millions of people continued calling themselves socialists, arguing that really existing socialism wasn´t real socialism. But how many people will continue calling themselves pro-science, when really existing science collapses, arguing that wasn´t real science? 

Imagine doing more damage to the cause of science than Stalin, Khrushchev or Brezhnev ever did to the cause of socialism!

We´ve won

Translation: the "COVID skeptics" won, and now the liberal wing of the establishment is doing damage control. 

It´s obviously about unity in the Democrat camp before the midterms, since the "amnesty" explicitly excludes those who "spread misinformation" (i.e. the hard COVID skeptics, presumably here identified with the Republicans). 

Personally, I´m willing to "amnesty" anyone and everyone...provided they testify under oath before a Congressional sub-committee and name names!
