The end?

 

Richard Dolan wants to be positive and optimistic about the new disclosure directives from a certain federal administration, but he can´t help being skeptical. This is the directive (which I blogged about before) according to which people working for private military contractors are allowed to share sensitive UFO information...but only to a special office inside the Pentagon (or certain intelligence agencies). 

Avi Loeb supports the initiative (of course he does - he´s part of the insiders now), but whistle-blowers who actually talked to the relevant intelligence agents say that there was no follow-up. Their potentially sensational information just...disappeared. Perhaps that´s the point? The Pentagon itself wants to know how much UAP evidence is in the hands of the contractors. Nothing will be declassified in the end.

Is this the end of meaningful UFO/UAP revelations? OK, dudes, it was fun as long as it lasted, I suppose.  

Game changer or nothingburger?

 

Trump has decided that former federal employees and contractors are allowed to share information on UAPs (UFOs) without violating non-disclosure agreements. The catch is that they can´t speak directly to the public, but only to the Pentagon-related AARO and the UAP Task Force, which will decide whether or not the information will be unclassified.

Critical ufologists believe that this won´t change anything. Why would a whistle-blower talk to the Pentagon in the first place? Many of the relevant people are bound by more than just non-disclosure agreements and so may not legally talk anyway. Besides, much of the evidence probably no longer exists. For instance, pilots would destroy videos showing potential UFOs for fear of otherwise losing their jobs.

Personally, I will follow the peregrinations (and perhaps contretemps) of Avi Loeb with great interest, but *of course* they´re not going to disclose actual evidence for aliens (if they even have it). Still, it might be worth some popcorn to see what they´ll do instead...  

Heavy water

 

Damn. It seems to be official now: the mysterious object 3I/ATLAS isn´t an alien probe (pun unintended) but an entirely natural object. A kind of comet, in fact, made of "heavy water" and other mundane substances. Blasted!

On the positive side, the comet could be 12 billion years old (!) and give us clues to how solar systems were formed in the early universe ("early" if you believe in the Big Bang). Clue: probably not as ours. It struck me that this could have some kind of consequences, too. For instance, does it make it more likely or less likely that alien star systems might harbor intelligent life (or any life)? 

Compromised

 

Is Avi Loeb "compromised"? It seems he finally decided to debunk a pro-UFO research paper...one that he isn´t behind himself! It just happens to be the Swedish Nordita papers about so-called transients, which (at least at first glance) looks like the best evidence for UFOs ever published. 

"The Angry Astronaut" (the content-creator behind the video linked above) is right that it´s somewhat absurd that Loeb - who makes many "far out" statements - all of a sudden turns skeptic and gives short shrift to Villarroel´s research. My guess is that it isn´t a conspiracy, but simply (un)professional jealousy. Academic politics is a thing even on the fringes, it seems... 

Blue books and white papers

 I´m not optimistic about this. My wild guess is that Loeb actually wants to find evidence about extraterrestrial craft. Maybe he is an honest "misunderstood genius", maybe he is an ambitious careerist and ego-maniac who would love to prove everyone else wrong. Either way, he might very well publish (real or perceived) evidence for aliens.  

But how likely is it that his task force (appointed by the Trump administration) will find anything, since they will only be allowed to see unclassified data? Unless the military is willing to declassify *much* more than hitherto, nothing will come out of it. Loeb also says that his team will look at the possibility that the UAPs are enemy craft. Fair enough - but surely the military and the intelligence community are already doing exactly that? I mean, that´s supposed to be kind of their job!

Oh, and another thing. Since Trump is behind this peculiar "disclosure" episode, Avi better work fast, since the shop will close in January 2029! Or even faster if the Big Man changes his mind (which he does ever so often).

Everything will change today

 

So it´s Thursday, folks. At least in my time zone. And according to Avi Loeb, today *everything* will change. Earth is right between 3I/ATLAS and the Sun, which will enable us to *see truly fantastic things* (a.k.a. the Truth) and realize that we´re not alone in the immensity of the cosmos. Or something to that effect.

Unless NASA suppresses this earth-shattering (pun intended) knowledge. Or Trump threatens to invade the Falkland Islands for the next two news cycles. Or the space ship turns out to be just another mean green meme, pardon, comet.

In that case, I suppose we all have to go back sperging about Nibiru!

I spoke to soon in the previous blog post. It seems the new date for the ultimate 3I/ATLAS revelation is 22 January. On that day, Earth will be right between the Sun and the mystery object. Then *everything* will change as we will *see* amazing stuff The They don´t want us to see, und so weiter.

That would be...next Thursday? OK, cool dude. I promise to watch YouTube after having my usual dish of pancakes at the local diner. Assuming we´re talking Central European Time here, yes?

From Avi Loeb´s YouTube channel. This is actually somewhat annoying. It sounds as if Loeb is pivoting away from his most sensational claims about 3I/ATLAS, even saying that people should trust NASA and the European Space Agency. He also attacks disinformation on the web! All the while *still* stirring up the Internet, sounding like a doomer, and so on.

The run-of-the-mill conspiracy theorists sound more honest. 

For a brief moment I kind of hoped that maybe, just maybe there would be more to this than a billion year old green comet from Somewhere Else...but naaah. But sure, it still fits the 2025 World-Gone-Crazy Narrative, so there´s that I suppose.  

UPDATE 2025-11-28: It´s possible that this channel is an AI-generated deep fake. If so, it certainly tricked me!

Psy-op in the sky

 

UFO-logist and Schwärmer extraordinaire Steven Greer actually believes that 3I/ATLAS is a natural object, and that claims to the contrary are a psy-op?! Interesting. 

OK, let me guess. Greer has a competitive relationship with Avi Loeb & Co? Somewhat ironically, Greer´s argument does make sense: an advanced stellar civilization (pun unintended) wouldn´t use some slow-motion craft to investigate the far corners of the universe! At most it could be debris from some alien technology, but not a functioning space ship. However, the most likely option is that we´re dealing with a rogue asteroid or something to that effect. 

Greer also discusses the New Jersey drone scare (December last year) and reaches the conclusion that the drones were man-made, probably at Skunkworks, and part of another psy-op, this time directed at Congress. 

Since Greer´s own claims are frequently rather "far out" (pun intended this time), I can´t help thinking that he doesn´t like these other cases, since they distract from his own "disclosure" campaigns. But sure, he may be so dogmatically committed to the idea of benevolent high-tech space brothers that he can´t accept the idea that something as trivial as 3I/ATLAS can be a space ship...
