I don´t believe a word of Boris Johnson´s recent claim that he seriously considered an invasion of the Netherlands to grab COVID vaccines he believed were rightfully British.
A *what* of *what* do to *what*..?!
"Boris" is generally regarded as an inveterate liar, madman and perhaps psycho, so why believe him here? Not even the Don is this crazy. Unless, of course, the idea of an armed intervention against a fellow NATO ally was part of Johnson´s utter madness.
Maybe it was a good thing that the British were kept in line by the European Union? I mean, has anything in the UK actually *improved* after Brexit? Perhaps it´s time to avenge Agincourt. The British are our bitches, make England a French backwater, re-activate the Auld Alliance with Scotland, make Hibernia great again!
Or am I saying this at 2:37am just because I munched at a highly potent Dutch tulip?
A few years ago, the North Korean news agency reported that a "unicorn cave" had been found outside Pyongyang, to the general amusement of the rest of the world, only to retreat from the claim some time later, claiming it was a mistranslation (what happened to the poor translator was, alas, never explained).
Now, Chairman Kim is supposedly telling his people to eat highly nutritious...black swans?!
Another mistranslation, I assume.
Or no?
OK, rubriken på detta blogginlägg är kanske lite simplistisk, men jag kunde inte hjälpa det...
Why is there a shipping crisis in Britain? According to fake news media, it´s Brexiiiiit! What else? Well, OK, Brexit and COVID. The pesky little Fauci virus is definitely part of the problem, but Brexit? Naaah, there is a similar shipping crisis in the United States...
The link below goes to a blog post by a veteran truck driver who tries to explain to us rookies how the (extremely messy) US transportation business works. The short form is that the current crisis is caused by two factors. First, COVID. Second, low wages and lousy working conditions both at the ports, at warehouses and for the truck drivers themselves. Many workers have simply quit, or been laid off because of the pandemic and refused to return. An additional problem is that the transportation companies are making huge profits *because of the crisis*, since this makes it possible for them to hike the transportation fees!
The only solution seems to be a planned economy, or something like it, suggested by the blogger at the end of his piece.
Interesting. If that´s the right word for it.
I´m a Twenty Year Truck Driver , I Will Tell You Why America´s "Shipping Crisis" Will Not End
Since I often, well always actually, complain about Meghan Markle - and *above all* of the media´s infatuation with this dark beauty and her so-called Megxit from the Windsor (Wittelsbach, surely?) royal family - it´s time to give her a little token of my hard won appreciation.
I admit that she became a bit more sympathetic after getting embroiled in US politics the other day, demanding paid maternity leave for hard-working American mothers.
While I don´t think Amerika can become great again (or at the very least slightly more New Dealish again) with POTUS Meghan Markle LARP-ing AOC, considering the constant failings of the, ahem, serious politicos to do essentially anything at all, I´m almost - almost I say - tempted to give the lady the benefit of the doubt...
Meghan Markle making "first try at political role" with letter to Congress
The United Kingdom in 2021. Who is in power there, again? The Trans-Tories? If this is how Britain look under a "conservative" administration, imagine the hell unleashed if Woke Labour ever came to power! Or one of the smaller loony lefty outfits...
