Dreams of a Russian invasion

 

The bird above is a Coal Tit (although the wrong subspecies). The one we have around here presumably looks more like a dimunitive Great Tit (pun unintended). I say "presumably", since until the last week or so, I didn´t even know these birds existed! Then, I read in some newspaper that there is currently "an invasion of Russian Coal Tits in Stockholm", with the miniature birds crashing into buildings and stuff?!

When I visited Stockholm recently (still looking for the Gubbängen monster, obviously), I noticed a flock of small birds which confused me. "Damn, the Great Tits are very small this season", I thought to myself. At least I think I did. Or did I just dream the whole thing? 

If so, it must be some kind of weird synchronicity that I read in the newspaper about the unknown bird I dreamed of a few days earlier. I hope the "Russian invasion" thing is just a figure of speech! I mean, it´s not like Russian birds crashing into buildings is an omen of a foreign drone-attack on Sweden or anything.

Right? 

Maybe I should just hide in the forest together with that monster...

Just kidding...

The above footage recently went viral for a couple of days, since it looked like sensational new evidence for the existence of Bigfoot or Sasquatch, the elusive ape-man of North America (and, I suppose, the Navidad). 

Unfortunately, the whole thing is probably a prank, or perhaps some kind of weird misidentification. The squatch, alas, turned out to be a perfectly regular Homo sapiens in a funny outfit. Apparently, some kind of Bigfoot re-enactment group! 

Am I surprised? LOL. No, not really, although it would be fun if Bigfoot had been real...or, nah, maybe not, considering the number of insane big game hunters who would descend upon the North American woods in such a case. Imagine bow hunting the Sasquatch...

Still awaiting conclusive proof that the Gubbängen troll is real.

I recently questioned a story about huge trolls or Bigfoots supposedly living in a relatively small forest outside Gubbängen, a completely regular neighborhood in Stockholm. 

Then, a fuckin´ moose stops an entire metro line in Stockholm?! Not at Gubbängen, but still. A moose is of course larger than a troll. And, I suppose, a squatch. Am I owned by Reality or what?

Still think that story is a hoax (or a troll, if you like) but if a "European elk" can sneak into Stockholm, who knows what else might be out there.

Monsters of Gubbängen (?!)

 

Just found this on YouTube. It´s an American channel called "Phantoms and Monsters Radio". This episode contain two ghost stories which seem completely unrelated: one American, the other Swedish. 

The Swedish tale begins around the 8:33 mark. 

Weirdly, it details encounters with a Bigfoot-like creature in Gubbängen, a suburb of Stockholm! The forest in question is presumably Majroskogen (which seems to be relatively small). The creature is never really seen, but creates considerable mayhem anyhow. 

It´s *very* hard to believe that there are huge "trolls" in a forest just outside a residential area in the capital of Sweden, but considering all the other shit going on here right now, it doesn´t seem completely out of character either...
