I always wondered what teenage nerds interested in
crypto-zoology read in their tents, after everyone else has tucked in. I
assumed they were reading, say, Jeffrey Meldrum's scientific books on Bigfoot.
Or getting angry over Loxton and Prothero's recent sceptical look at
Bigfooting. Or listening whether or not Bigfoot (or Bobo) is out there,
call-blasting his way through the thick underbrush in search of an elk.
I hope I'm right.
If not...well, there's always "Moan for Bigfoot". Apparently, the author (one Virginia Wade) has written so many erotic stories about the hairy biped of the Pacific Northwest, that she even published volumes with titles like "The Moan for Bigfoot Anthology, Volume 5". Sheesh, Virginia, get a real job! Say, proofread books by Jeff Meldrum. Or is crypto-porn the only growth industry left west of the Rocky Mountains after the federal government decided to protect the spotted owl?
As for the nerds, I can only hope they read these books because they like the Bigfoots included. Rather than the luscious, lascivious, fallen womyn of our own species.
I mean, nerds wouldn't do *that*, right?
