A review of "Finding Bigfoot", season 7. Originally posted on Amazon, where it was erroneously dubbed "Season 8".
This is really season 7 of “Finding Bigfoot”, Animal
Planet's popular series about a team of people roaming the world in search of
elusive (and perhaps entirely mythological) ape-men. I admit having a soft spot
for this particular myth, but the “Finding Bigfoot” concept is starting to feel
a bit old and dated. Judging by the first three episodes this season, it's
pretty much Bigfoot BAU, with night investigations in boring darkness, more or
less believable eye-witness interviews, and annoying bickering between the team
members. Tennessee, Brazil and the Myakka River in Florida are visited by the
BFRO this time around. Thanks for the infotainment, guys, but I will probably
not watch you this season (or watch only with one eye). Besides, I already know
what a squatch is. It's an occult thought form, more specifically the astral
shell of a Gigantopithecus mystically re-animated by the wishful thinking of
true believers.
No? Why not? :D
