"Melodifestivalen 2011" is a CD featuring the songs from the 2011
Melody Festival in Sweden, easily the most popular entertainment show on
Swedish television. It's organized annually, and the finale is watched by about
half of Sweden's population (!). From a musical viewpoint, the contest is a
very mixed bag of the good, the bad and the ugly. IMHO, 2011 is a relatively
good vintage, with several hits among the obligatory fillers.
Still, the Melody Festival is better on DVD, where you can actually *see* the performing artists: the mysterious Loreen, the pathetic trannie Babsan, the young redhead Linda Pritchard (an all-time-favourite of sexually starved married men with children), the tattooed rocker Nicke Borg, and the incomprehensible Linda Bengtzing...
Still, I award this CD fours stars.
