This little book reminds me of a line from David Lynch's bizarre TV series
"Twin Peaks": "Let me get this straight. Your entire country is
above the tree line?!".
"Flora of Iceland" is a portable field guide by Askell Löve with illustrations by Dagny Tade Lid. Apparently, the book is a revised translation of "Islenzk ferdhaflóra" and its predecessor, "Islenzkar jurtir". Keys and line drawings are included, but only a few species have been honored with color plates.
But then, the entire republic of Iceland is above the tree line, so what did we expect, really?
