This is Euro-disco at its most bizarre. The Romanian
singer Haiducii performs a string of cover versions of Moldovan disco band
O-Zone's "Dragostea din tei". Or, to give the full cover title at
*my* version of the CD: "Dragostea din tei (mai ai hii)". It's of
course so terribly bad that it becomes good, as behoves Italo-disco. An
American guy, one Gary Brolsma, managed to get his "fifteen minutes of
fame" by lip synching to this stuff on Youtube. Numa, Numa, Gary! I'm not
sure how to rate this annoying composition, but since I don't want to be
impaled by Count Dracula, I'll give it...five stars. But pssst...Miko Mission
and Ken Laszlo really were better. Mai
ai hii?
