"Critical
Evidence" is yet another Bigfoot-centred episode of
"MonsterQuest".
The Patterson-Gimlin film is analyzed again, this time with positive results. It really does show a huge, ape-like creature. (Sceptics claim the opposite, of course.) Jeff Meldrum is interviewed - again! - discussing the controversial Freeman video ("oh, there he go") and dermal ridges.
The whole thing, while not completely uninteresting if you're only convinced by "hard" evidence, nevertheless feels very forced.
One part of the show is obviously scripted for dramatic effect: for completely incomprehensible reasons, the MonsterQuest team (including James Fay a.k.a. Bobo) tries to find the exact location of the Patterson-Gimlin film from a chopper in the middle of winter, shortly before a snowstorm! Come again? Surely, everyone knows the location where Patterson and Gimlin taped their famous sequence of Pattie? But sure, Bobo's headgear's funny...
Not sure how to rate this episode, so I give it three stars. But yes, you might find it boring.
