Kleptoparasites indeed






A worthless excuse for a book written in some kind of Google Translate English, the section on the Skua being particularly cringe-worthy. Despite being geared towards children, it contains too sophisticated words such as “kleptoparasite” or “sexual dimorphism”. The Kindle edition contains photos of birds never described in the text, and some photos are simply wrong. Thus, the “Carolina Parakeet” is really an African Grey Parrot! The “pheasant” is (of course) a crane. This should never have been published, and the five star reviews can't possibly be legit. Only one star! Thank heavens this was free of charge. I suppose you get what you (don't) pay for…
