Deep impact or deep ecology?

I only saw parts of this film, being too preoccupied with other chores, but it looked a bit silly. I mean, the ark is defended by Ents who turn out to be fallen angels. Right. I'm no “SJW”, but isn't Ham supposed to be, cough cough, dark-skinned? But sure, the concept of Noah being a deep ecologist extraordinaire (a kind of Biblical Pentti Linkola) was, admittedly, an interesting twist. So was having Tubal-Cain as villain. Casting Hannibal the Cannibal as one of the good guys was another master stroke…well, maybe not. All in all, I'm only giving “Noah” two stars. The film was banned in many Muslim countries, but in the final analysis, I don't think the good people of the UAE missed much this time.

PS. Did you note that snake-skin from Eden was used as a holy relic and that Semyaza was an ally of Noah?
Hmmm...
