If Alt Right is used in its narrow sense, it simply
means right-wing extremism. But we already have a neutral-sounding word for
that. It used to be called "the far right" and it has been around for
centuries...
The term Alt Right is meaningful only if it refers to what's truly new and frankly bewildering to the right of the Overton window: Pepe, Harambe and Mike Cernovich's Dog!
Yeah, really.
