Winter War

The Lonely Planet Guide to Finland shows reindeer on its cover, which prompted my alter ego at Amazon to write this.

LOL! Reindeer?! Ahem, reindeer only live in the northernmost part of Finland. Imagine a guide to the United States showing caribou on its front cover, since they live in Alaska...

:D

But OK, I understand. Many tourists would like to visit Finnish Lapland, the supposed homeland of Santa Claus and his red-nosed reindeer Rudolf. Personally, I would rather associate Finland with the Kalevala, saunas, the koskenkorva, symbolist painting, the duty-free zone of Åland, even more saunas, the Moomins, and unhanged veterans from the Winter War, but YMMV.
