We had sputniks, Pepsi Cola and starving kulaks. What's the prob, comrade?

We may have killed 30 million people (give or take a few mills) but at least we were first in space. We also starved half of Ukraine to death while America was in the throes of a severe depression, thereby proving that a centralized planned economy can work wonders. Or something. Full employment (even outside Siberia and the White Sea Canal) was another positive feature of our regime. And, of course, all the cool paraphernalia!

Then, we made a deal with Pepsi-Co.
