"Texas
Bigfoot" could have been an exciting, even spooky episode of the
US-Australian series "Animal X: Natural History Unit". The Mission
Controller Bill Kerr sends Daniel and Nathalie to the hill tracts of Texas,
where they are literally *stalked* by Bigfoot for 24 hours. Twigs are snapped,
tree branches are broken and placed in impossible positions, and one of the
rigged cameras disappears. Weird sounds come out of the dark forest and
something brown, furry and fairly large peeps out behind the bushes in the
middle of an interview...
Or is it really a southern sasquatch who is harassing the team? The Illuminati and a bunch of turkey vultures with a bizarre penchant for rigged cameras (!) are other prime suspects. Yeah, really.
Unfortunately, both Dan and Nathalie are so boring and uncharismatic that the show never lifts off. Houston, we have a problem! Is the never-to-be-seen ape-man the lone star of this show? The hunt for the Texas wildman could have been the BF show of the century and yet, it feels strangely unsatisfying.
Only two lone stars for "Animal X".
