A review of "Lincoln´s Ghost: Legend and Lore"
Abraham Lincoln and his widow walk again. Be afraid,
Southerners, be very afraid. A short and relatively boring booklet on various
supposed supernatural happenings featuring The Great Emancipator. His tomb is
haunted, so is his family house, and even a room in the White House. There is
also a ghostly version of Abe's funeral train. Even in life, Lincoln was (supposedly)
interested in the supernatural, attending séances in the White House.
"His" medium later published a book, claiming that the president had
been a Spiritualist. Interesting? Perhaps, but Moffet's book didn't move me, so
I only give it two stars.
