UFO addendum

Fife Symington

"I know what I saw" is a companion documentary to "Out of the Blue", and should be seen together (and after) that production. Essentially, "I know what I saw" contains additional footage and interviews that didn't make it onto "Out of the Blue". Unless you've seen the original documentary, "I know what I saw" can be somewhat confusing - you won't know what on earth you're seeing! Both documentaries are signed James Fox. Unfortunately, Fox later made a fool out of himself in a short-lived reality series called "Chasing UFOs".

A large portion of "I know what I saw" shows the sensational 2007 press conference at the National Press Club in Washington DC, where military personnel from the United States, Britain and various South American nations admitted seeing UFOs. The panel was chaired by John Fife Symington, who was governor of Arizona during the UFO flap known as the Phoenix Lights. At the time, Symington debunked the UFO observations and ridiculed witnesses during an infamous press conference. After his resignation, Symington admitted that the military never provided him with an explanation to the "lights", and that he had seen a UFO himself!

Other cases mentioned in this documentary include the Rendlesham Forest incident in Britain, the 1986 Japanese Airline case, the 1976 case in Iran (when fighter planes pursued a UFO), and the Belgian UFO flap. There are also excerpts from an old interview with J. Allen Hynek, the well known sceptic-turned-believer. The message of "I know what I saw" is that UFOs are real, probably extraterrestrial, and that the establishment knows what's going on - or don't want us to know that they really have no idea!

Although I tend to disagree with the ET hypothesis, I will nevertheless award this nicely done documentary four stars. But, to repeat myself, don't watch it unless you've already seen "Out of the Blue".
