Overheard on Twitter: “I love how most modern-day first-world communists are types of people who would've been first against the wall in every communist country ever. Lenin, Stalin, Mao...they would've sent all you commies to a gulag. if you run the simulation again, it'll end same way”. The troll who wrote this does have a certain point. Stalin opposed abortion and homosexuality, rehabilitated the Orthodox Church and promoted Russian nationalism. He made deals with both the British Empire, the United States and Nazi Germany. He represented everything the modern American left loves to hate! So why is there a Stalinesque renaissance on Twitter, I wonder? OK, let me guess, they like the part about liquidating the kulaks as a class...?
