William Jevning is a Bigfoot investigator. He used to
be the friend and protégé of famous Bigfoot hunter René Dahinden, whose
controversial reputation seems to have been well earned. (Dahinden passed away
in 2001.)
This article ("In Search of the Unknown") describes how Jevning, a resident of Washington State, became involved in Bigfoot research. Most of the story is interesting and fascinating, as Jevning describes his encounters with the scary creature when he was a boy and a teenager. He also describes his initial cooperation with Dahinden, and the rivalry between the Swiss explorer and local researcher John Green. Bigfoot comes across as a somewhat sinister creature, with a penchant for catching and tearing apart deer and coyotes with his bare hands. Bobo and the BFRO would not like to meet this beast on one of their night investigations!
A skeptic might wonder why Jevning has encountered sasquatches (sometimes two at a time) at so many occasions, and found so many tracks, when other investigators (including Dahinden) never see the creature at all. Is Jevning a Bigfoot “contactee”? That being said, I still think “In Search of the Unknown” is worth reading, expect maybe the “adolescent” part about the expedition to Mount St Helens.
After some thought, I give this Kindle brochure four stars.
