This is "old news", but somehow I managed to miss it. It came to my attention after the recent revelations about kids in unmarked graves in Canada. In that case, Native children. In this case, Irish "orphans". And although I´m not specifically "anti-Catholic", I do note that in both Ireland and Canada, the Catholic Church *is* heavily implicated in the abuses (to use a slight euphemism). Time for a purge of the hierarchy?
At the moment, I´m having some kind of involuntary sympathy for the most crazed apocalyptic puritanical Protestant sect...
