The corporate left strikes again. The super rich dont need old fashioned stuff like unionbusters anymore. The "far left" works on their behalf and they dont demand any payment as long as they get to virtue signal.
ReplyDeleteThe WSWS are pretty weird. They are very "politically incorrect" on some topics (such as "the 1619 Project" or the BLM), but that could simply be a kind of "Marxist" dogmatism ("working class unity"). Otherwise, they often sound like the main-stream media in their hysterical attacks on Trump´s "fascism", the "coup" of 6 Jan 2021, demands for a really hard lock down, and so on.
ReplyDeleteIronically, they have refused to make the U-turn on China (the Wuhan lab origins of the COVID virus), seeing this as war propaganda against China, so on that issue, they still have the *old* line of the establishment, which makes them defend Fauci against attacks in the main-stream press!
I admit that this particular group is a bit difficult to divine...
Det är väl inte fel att försvara Fauci mot de totalt paranoida anklagelser som diskuteras i artikeln.
ReplyDeleteDet verkar vara välbelagt att amerikanska intressen finansierade "gain-of-function research" på Wuhan-laboratoriet, och att Fauci godkände detta. Redan detta är anmärkningsvärt, eftersom gain-of-function betyder att man gör virus mer smittsamma på artificiell väg! Rand Paul har inga bevis för att Fauci ligger bakom COVID-viruset, men Faucis sätt att försvara sig verkar vara att märka ord och hävda att det minsann inte var gain-of-function utan någonting annat?! Jag tycker att WSWS lite för okritiskt accepterar Faucis version - som är etablissemangets version av igår - antagligen för att de uppfattar den nya linjen som ett led i det kalla kriget mot Kina. Men då missar man ju att både amerikanska och kinesiska intressen verkar ha samarbetet på ett *lite* märkligt forskningsprojekt på ett laboratorium som ligger precis bredvid den marknad där COVID-viruset sägs ha dykt upp första gången...
ReplyDeleteJag tycker överlag att WSWS har en märklig förmåga att inta ståndpunkter som ligger i linje med demokraternas, trots sin stenhårda trotskistiska linje i andra frågor.
