On the recent protests in France

Some links concerning the recent anti-lockdown protests in France. According to American Trotskyist website WSWS (which supports lockdown measures), the protests were "neo-fascist" in character, but also supported by some leftists! Or "pseudo-leftists", as WSWS dubs them. The next two links go to Wikipedia entries (one rather long) about the "pseudo-leftist" movement involved.

  1. Homeopatic political language. Dilute the meaning of a Word like "facist" by saying "neofacist" instead. Then dilute the diluted message again by saving someone is "neofascist in character". The dilution have your back covered if you Will have to explain your accusation, but a lot of zombies who read your nonsense will, given enough time and repetition, start to believe that this or that that is "fascism".
I ibstantly lose respect for people who use homeopatic language. Spinelesd but greedy cowards who will stab anyone in the back when they are asleep, if they have even the slightest to gain from doing so. But they would never attack anyone face to face with a clearly stated intent, even if they could gain the whole word from doing so.

  2. "Homeopathic political language" is a keeper! Other examples are "fascistic" (in Swedish, "fascistoid") or "objectively reactionary". Such things do exist, of course, but that simply makes the language even more homeopathic...

There seems to be a kind of weird symbiosis between this kind of dilution, and the opposite kind of language, based on exaggeration ("Trump is literally Hitler", "Beijing Biden"), etc.

Finally, there are the funny memes, such as "Faucism", but they are few...
