My completely based attack on the 2014 version of "Do They Know It´s Christmas?".
The original version of this
song was recorded to aid the victims of the Ethiopian famine in 1984. However,
we were never told that the famine was man-made by the "Communist",
pro-Soviet regime of Mengistu Haile Mariam. In 1991, Mr Mengistu was overthrown
by armed rebels and forced to flee to Zimbabwe, where he celebrates Christmas
to this day. No famines of a comparable size have hit Ethiopia since.
