"The Complete
Encyclopedia of Chickens" by Esther Verhoef and Aad Rijs is a book I
bought mostly by mistake. I rediscovered it a few days ago when moving some of
my books from, ahem, one bookcase to another. It covers over a hundred
different breeds of chickens, including the inevitable bantams (which some
reviewers of chicken-related material just love to hate). A good reference - I
think. I noticed that U.S. reviewers complain about the book being written from
a European perspective...
