“Rise of the Planet of the
Apes” is a 2011 remake-reboot of the classic “Conquest of the Planet of the
Apes”. A new drug developed to cure Alzheimer turns out to be fatal for humans
while boosting the intelligence of apes. The smart chimpanzee Caesar leads a
rebellion of incarcerated chimps, gorillas and orang-utans against evil science
and the San Francisco police department, while the killer germ spreads
throughout the world…
“Rise of the Planet of the Apes” isn't as good as I expected, featuring too many stereotypes and pretty obvious plot developments. But sure, if you like safe and predictable sci fi adventures, this might be the thing you're looking for…
