A real one hit wonder

LOL. This sounds like the Swedish pop band Rednex. Listen to their songs "Cotton Eye Joe" and "Old Pop in an Oak". Isn't there a family resemblance with Hampton the Hamster, both in terms of the music, the looks and the performance?

Apparently, Hampton and his crew (named Dixie, Hado and Fuzzy), haven't been listening to Rednex after all. No, they actually upgraded the silly tune "Whistle Stop" from the animated movie "Robin Hood".

In essence, Hampton turned it into euro-disco.

I consider euro-disco a guilty pleasure - I mean, it's about as far as you can get from Bach, Mozart and such serious stuff. I therefore laughed heartily when I discovered this on Youtube. My colleague H.C. wasn't amused, and wondered whether I was suffering from some kind of neurodevelopmental disorder...

Who knows. Maybe we're all crazy. I mean, Youtube and Amazon? Sheesh. Still, if you have a childish sense of humour and like euro-trash disco (made in Canada), you will probably start dancin' the hampsterdance!

PS. With the risk of sounding like a party-pooper, I discovered an error in the Youtube video clip. It shows camels with TWO humps...in Egypt. Come again? Camels in Egypt (dromedaries) only have ONE hump. A classical mistake, LOL.
