Only for divas?

At Amazon, I amused myself by reviewing Tintin translations into various obscure languages. Like this one!

"The Castafiore Emerald” is not a good story, yet it seems to have been translated to a staggering amount of obscure Romance dialects spoken in various parts of Belgium and France. Perhaps the diva's speech is particularly easy to translate?

This version of the Tintin comic is in Dauphinois, the Franco-Provencal dialect spoken in the area around Grenoble in France. Grenoble is otherwise mostly known for hosting the Olympic winter games of 1968.

Something tells me “Le Bèrloqué de la Castafiore” is mostly for divas. Or perhaps dauphins.

The five stars are for the translator's efforts.
