When in the course of human events...well, not really

This is the second volume of “La Génie des alpages”, a French comic created by Richard Peyzaret, also known as F'Murr. No English version seems to exist, but I've read a Swedish translation. The comic is slightly Dadaistic and bizarre. I don't think it's intended for kids. The main characters are a shepherd and his talking sheepdog somewhere in the Swiss Alps. The sheep are terrorists and attack tourists or airplanes. A lost lion trying to find his way back to Africa, a silly St Bernard, a dog-sphinx and talking snakes are other ingredients. The humor is frequently quasi-intellectual, with references to George Orwell, Albert Einstein, Gothic architecture and Christian theology. At one point, the sheepdog and the sphinx provoke a war between Switzerland and Egypt! Not sure how to rate this menagerie of the absurd, but for old times' sake, I give it…five stars.
