One voice to rule them all

My comments on the 2015 ESC.

This is the Russian entry to this year's Eurovision Song Contest. I'm not sure why it has its own product page, since it can only be purchased with the ESC album as a whole. I admit that "A Million Voices" is extremely entertaining, for several reasons. It's a peace song, yet Russia is currently waging war in the Ukraine. Last year's Russian entry was booed by the ESC audience in Copenhagen due to the Crimean crisis. Just one year later, everyone falls madly in love with the new Russian song. Even better, nobody seems to have noticed that “A Million Voices” sounds strangely familiar…very familiar, in fact. It's a John Farnham rip, for crying out loud! Perhaps Russia wants 12 points from Australia…

Russia has succesfully fooled the world. A million voices indeed.

:D
