“Yoko Tsuno” is a Franco-Belgian comic originally published in the magazine “Spirou”. The eponymous character is a female Japanese reporter, scientist and karate fighter. The storyline frequently borders on science fiction. I've only read one album in the series, “The Time Spiral”. I found it pretty confusing, with the main characters traveling back and forth in a time machine, while attempting to avoid temporal paradoxes in the usual fashion. The fate of our beloved planet once again hangs in the balance as an antimatter-feeding alien squid from elsewhere is discovered by crazy Japanese scientists during World War II…or was it a futuristic World War III? And if so, why is everyone hanging out in late 20th century Indonesia??? Could be of interest if you're a time travel super-geek, but otherwise, probably only worth two-and-a-half stars.
