This
is another episode of "MonsterQuest", a History Channel series which
makes that ultimate nerdie passtime known as cryptozoology look immensely
boring.
"Mutant Canines" investigates reports about large, dangerous dogs roaming U.S. fly-over country, not always with good intentions. Are they wolf-dog hybrids? Surviving direwolves? Or just stray dogs out on a feral rampage? The "Turner Beast" from Maine is examined by the MonsterQuest team and turns out to be...surprise...a mad dog. I could have told you that from the start, just by looking at the picture.
If the dead dog is the same creature as the *real* Turner Beast (which is said to have terrorized this area of Maine since 1991) is, of course, another matter entirely. I mean, the "Turner Beast" was found dead in 2008. That's 17 years after the first reports in 1991. How old can a feral dog get?
A ghost or Chupacabra, on the other hand, is FOREVER. :-O
