"MonsterQuest"
is an American TV series investigating rumours of monsters around the world.
While a few episodes are interesting, most are extremely boring or even silly.
"Bigfoot" is one of the more serious episodes, dealing (of course) with the elusive primate supposedly inhabiting the forests of North America. The Patterson-Gimlin film is analyzed, and a short interview with Robert Gimlin is featured. The controversial film is the best evidence for Bigfoot to ever emerge, and all attempts to prove that it's a hoax has failed. "MonsterQuest" ads fuel to the fire by a number of tests, claiming that no human can walk like the creature in the film, and that a computer-enhanced version shows the Bigfoot to move his lips and eyes in a manner virtually impossible to fake by a man in a monkey suite. The episode also discusses the Skookum cast.
Overall, I must nevertheless say that even this "MonsterQuest" episode is immensely boring. There's very little real action in this series, something you expect from a show dealing with monsters! However, since I'm developing a certain sympathy for the hairy fairy of the Pacific Northwest, I will nevertheless give it three stars. As for being "currently unavailable", all episodes of the series are available on newly issued DVD collections, and (gratis) at Youtube.
