"Yorba" the Buddha

This is a two-hour interview with an otherwise unknown Hindu teacher, a certain Swami Ganga in Khajuraho, the Indian temple-complex notorious for its erotic sculptures. The interview comes across as rather boring, but I found it fascinating if listen to carefully.

Ganga´s "Tantrism" seems to be an anarchistic and hedonistic form of materialism. Indeed, he positively references the Charvakas, an ancient Indian sect with ideas similar to the Epicureans. Ganga also mentions Gorakhnath, an 11th century heterodox Shaiva and Tantrika associated with Hatha Yoga. It turns out that Ganga used to be one of Osho´s devotees, even following him to Oregon.

It was actually funny to listen to some of his musings, for instance when he describes "Buddhahood" in terms of Krishna´s erotic dance with the gopis, or when he mispronounces "Zorba the Buddha". At one point, Ganga went to a Kumbha Mela festival and "took initiation" from both Maharishi Mahesh Yogi of Transcendental Meditation (TM) and Shrila Prabhupada of the Hare Krishna movement (ISKCON). That would be like joining both Catholics and Lutherans on the same day, or something to that effect.

The cosmic energy or prana is everywhere and really doesn´t discriminate, being available alike for both saint and sinner. That´s unconditional divine love for you, right there. Ganga also reveals the solution to the Zen koan "what is the sound of one hand clapping". At one point, he suddenly starts talking in some Indian language with another guy present! They discuss "astral traveling", apparently.

Since Osho pretty much destroyed the rep of anarcho-Tantra, it seems that being "Yorba" is just as difficult as being Buddha...

And yes, Ganga implies that Osho was murdered.

  1. Speaking unusal Hindu teachers and teachings, are you familiar with this:

If i understand things correctly the latest leader of this strange hedonistic, cruel and downright insane version of vaisnavism was the carnal brother Swami Prapbhupada. Or did they simply mean spiritual brother?
Literal interpretations of the human sacrifice texts in purushameda, among other crazy stuff.
So edgy and controversal it wouldnt suprise me if Styxenhammer(or whatever his nick is) have talked about it. A most fitting subject for his boyroom musings.

  2. Wow, almost as crazy as the Order of Nine Angles.

There use to be another breakaway from Hare Krishna, in "Eastern" Europe during the 1990´s, which permitted sexual hedonism and drugs, they had a lot of followers for a while. Not sure what their guru called himself.

  3. Hmm... There was a romanian pervert and yoga-teacher who owned a small empire of yoga schools. Just when he set up his first ashram in sweden the scandal made the headlines:
He was running his organisation like a weird sex cult with bizzare initiations to advance trough the levels.
To reach one of the levels a woman had to be able to orgasm just by having another woman pee at her "third eye", in the middle of the forhead. Apparently this took a lot of practice. The training sessions were filmed for "review in order to help them improve their spiritual advancement".The romanian pervert then sold the clips to various pornsites.
Its a jungle out there among among all the weird esoteric groups.
Anyway, i red somewhere that the romanian pervert had been active in an Isckon off-shot. I suppose it could be the same off-shot you mentioned.
I apologize in advance for the graphic descriptions.

  4. If it reminds of ONA its probably because Martinet press is headed by a couple who started "Temple ov Blood", a mental asylum level crazy off-shot from ONA.And ONA isnt exactly mentally sound to begin with.

  5. The charming lady in question from Temple ov Blood have written a whole book about her personal experience as a "Krishna devotee". This just gets weirder and weirder.

  6. The "Romanian pervert" certainly fits the bill. The original group seems to have been more about hedonism and drugs in general, so perhaps he got bored and took it to the next level? :D

  8. This couple originally headed "Rural Peoples Party" in USA who had Pol Pot and Jim Jones as their most important ideologcal inspirators. All in asll this couple is so weird that my head starts to spin when i read about their history of activism.

Is Discordianism actually a real religion? If so, this couple must be Dischordias most prominent proteges.

  9. Did some checking...yes, the ToB people seem to be almost literally insane. Unless they are part of some really weird psy op? They supposedly got in touch with North Korean intelligence at one point!

Not sure about Discordianism. I never really grokked that and Chaos Magick.

  10. Ah, the NK-thing! "Monty Phyton at their best"-level of fun! Genius Psy-OP if it was that, Genius comedy art project if it was that BUT if it was neither of those and just what it officially is described as from both sides of the fence... then its such a high level of unintentional autistic humor that my brain starts lagging when i think about it.
Somenone on youtube called temple of blood "Satanic weaponised autism" and the somewhat related group Atofwaffen for "Autistwaffen". Very funny indeed but i suspect it might also be true in a most literal way.

  11. The autism is strong in this propaganda poster from Atomwaffen:

  12. I hope me laughing about autistic genocidal Satanic Krishna-devoted National Socialistic Songun-communists wont label me as a "Funkophobe".

  13. LOL. I checked what "funk" is. I assume you mean a depressive episode, but it can also refer to a 1970 coalition of Sihanoukists and the Khmer Rouge! FUNK. Synchronicity?

  14. Im not quite following you here. I meant in a misspelled way "funkofobic" or "funkofobisk" as you say in swedish. Cant laugh under any circumuntances if people with any kind of "challenge" are involved can we? At least not if you dont have the same "challenge" yourself.
A friend of mine says im aspberger-like when i rant on for to long about my special intrests but i dont have any diagnose. So i dont have the priviliege to laugh when people with autism spectrum disorders are involved. Or so the SJW:s say.
But hey, your interpretation of what i wrote might reveal another layer of weirdness to this bizzare subject, so go ahead with it.

  15. Aha,funkofobi = ableism. A weird word,sounds like fear of funk music!

  16. By the way, i demand that our government imideatley orders a thorough investigation of the increaing problem of ToB-phobia in sweden. People says all kind of mean shit about them online.
Not all ToB-people are violent. Its a very peacfull religion if you interpret it in the right way. Fully compatible with the swedish "värdegrund" and liberal western demoracies.
