Salvador Dalí had lively dreams, that's for sure. But
why is “Dream caused by the flight of a bee a second before awakening” paired
with propaganda posters from the U.S. military? Perhaps this is in keeping with
the true surrealist spirit? I used to have another Dalí painting on my living
room wall, but it had a religious motif and was from Dalí's “late period” when
he presumably had began to feel more guilty about his dreams. But yes, it was pretty surrealistic,
too…
