A review of Fancy´s "We Can Move A Mountain"
Truthfulness,
sincerity are virtues in decline / Loneliness, anxiety are growing all the time
/ We can help each other if we find a way to share / Let us show each other
that we care
HA HA HA.
With lyrics like this, to an up-tempo "schlager" pop beat, I'm somewhat surprised that Fancy didn't win the German qualifying contest to the ESC. Or the entire ESC, for that matter. But then, he had some pretty stiff competition: bizarre comic actor Stefan Raab and his inimitable club hit "Hadde dadde dude da". Dig it?
This song might appeal to the really hard-core gay fans of Euro-song, but everyone else will probably just laugh. Or weep. Did you notice the ten-second aria, BTW?
Five stars - for the entertainment. But sure, John Lennon's "Imagine" was better.
