I'm a Stalwart, and Arthur is president now

In Sweden, we call him Gustaf. That's a male name, so I suppose Garfield *is* male! Weirdly, all other characters have retained their English names, like in the original strip, although Odie's name is spelled Ådi. The recent brouhaha over Garfield's “gender identity” on Wikipedia was great fun, and it was (of course) trolling. What the media have covered up, is that the troll also claimed that Garfield's religion was Shia Islam! In reality, I think it's obvious that this quite literal “fat cat” is a great believer in the Western Myth of Progress. And, dare I add, lasagna…
