A review of yet another MonsterQuest episode... 

"Unidentified Flying Creatures" looked promising at first. Mysterious, elongated UFOs turn up on films. They are known as Rods. The Feds have confiscated a video showing a Rod too close to comfort to a civilian jet and an airport. Some people believe that Rods are interdimensional creatures or some kind of living organism. Unfortunately, "MonsterQuest" decided to play it safe with this episode. Eventually, they reach the conclusion that the Rods are just illusions created by the camera equipment, usually insects or birds filmed in some kind of overlapping, multi-frame manner.

NOOOOOOOOOO.....

I feel blasted from the skies!

I want to believe that large, elongated amoebas live in the stratosphere and occasionally decide to descend to our altitude, to take a closer look at Psycho Civilization.

But then, the FBI remains silent about that footage they confiscated, so who knows? Maybe the government is hiding vital information about the world's biggest dragonfly? Considering all the other weird stuff the U.S. government is up to, I wouldn't be too surprised, LOL.

(Amazon also offers the entire season 1 of "MonsterQuest" on DVD, so you don't have to buy this single episode, unless you have a thing for UFO memorabilia. Or dragonflies.)
