HA HA HA!!! This (British) establishment gatekeeper is hilarious. Of course he is against "climate doomers", since that won´t get the vote our for New Labour, the Lib Dems, or whoever is this guy´s biggest provider. I´ve seldom seem somebody so self-consciosuly tie the climate change issue to pro-system official optimism (provided the right guys are in charge of the system, I imagine).
Note also how he appeals to the climate activists for their vote. Hence his distinction between "climate pessimism" and "climate doomerism", the former really being code for "Woke activists", the latter for "ordinary voters who probably like Nigel Farage". And yeah, I did get the pro-censorship dog whistle.
But sure, it would be interesting to know what his "solutions" are. Do they include *massive* geoengineering of the Earth´s atmosphere? More nuclear power? More copper mines? More dependence on China for all those rare earth metals?
Maybe next month or so I´ll work up enough interest to actually watch his "solutions" video...
