The Stegosaurus fossil nicknamed "Apex" was auctioned off at Sotheby´s earlier today for the bizarrely large price of 44.6 million dollars. Presumably to a private collector.
Ahem, I assumed national treasures of this kind belonged to Science (TM)? Or no?
Why can´t the federal government simply move in and confiscate the damn skeleton?
