A review of "The Flat Earth Theory: The Truth to the Long Mystery"
This is a badly formatted e-pamphlet (10 pages short)
written by a Christian fundamentalist who believes that the Earth is flat and
the created universe very small. To prove the flatness of the Earth, he relies
on typical “common sense” arguments, such as: why do rivers always float
downwards, rather than upwards? In other words, if it looks flat, it must be
flat!
After this follows Bible exegesis. Some of the flatness arguments are also used by the few remaining geocentrists: why did Joshua command the sun to stand still, rather than the Earth to stop spinning? The “firmament” mentioned in Genesis is said to be solid, and verses like this one supposedly suggest that our world is indeed a stationary disk: “Yahuwah reigneth, He is clothed with majesty; Yahuwah is clothed with strength, wherewith He hath girded Himself: the world also is established, that it cannot be moved.” Note the fancy spelling of God's name, Yahuwah. In another section, Jesus is referred to as Yahushua. This kind of nonstandard name forms usually indicate a sect or a cult.
The only way to hide the truth of the Flat Earth would be a devilish conspiracy, but the author only mentions one example: “Wasn't Galileo telling the truth? Was he not reprimanded for giving the heliocentric theory power and promotion? Contrary to the popular belief of many people, Galileo's prosecution by the Catholic Church was only a show. Many people believe it was a strategic plan made by the `Hegelian Dialectic'.”
I always suspected there was something fishy about the phenomenology of the Spirit…
Not really recommended, looks like one of those peculiar tracts people sometimes hand out at Grand Central station to unsuspecting passersby.
