“Svampar i färg” is a Swedish field guide to mushrooms. It was originally
published in 1956. My copy is dated 1978 and is said to be the sixth edition.
The author, Bengt Cortin, was seconded by an illustrator named Edgar Hahnewald.
The book is part of a series, Färgserien, published by AWE/Gebers. The guide
feels dated and old fashioned. For instance, color plates and species
presentations aren't on facing pages, but in two different sections of the
book. Standard practice back in the days, not so popular anymore! The
illustrations are adequate, but no more. Probably mostly a curiosity today.
